| Health Ministry Team Christmas Child Project |
The Health Ministry Team is looking for new members. The work of the team includes special projects and events focusing on the physical and spiritual health of the congregation. If you are interested in joining this team or would like more information, please contact Cindy Siders or Pastor Deanna. If you are not able to join the team, but are willing to work on some special projects (e.g., transportation ministry bake sale) as available, we would welcome you on the team as you are able. The Health Ministry Team is looking for Sharon members that are interested in visiting our shut- ins (members not able to attend church because of health or mobility issues) once a month. If you would be interested in visiting one of these important members, please contact Ginger Johnson. The Health Ministry Team is sponsoring a bake sale on Sunday, October 21. The proceeds of the bake sale will be used to support the transportation ministry program. This program provides public transportation to individuals with special needs that would be unable to attend church without a ride. Please contact Cindy Siders or Ginger Johnson if you are inter- ested in helping and/or providing baked items for the sale. Matching funds up to $300 will be provided by Thrivent. The Health Ministry Team has some limited funds to assist the needs of Sharon families in providing winter clothing for their children. If you have a financial need for assistance, please contact the church office. Requests for assistance are kept confidential. The Health Ministry Team provides Care Baskets for members of our congregation that are facing serious illness or injury. If you, or someone you care about could use a basket or a prayer shawl, please call the church office. Without a call, we may not know of the individual's need. Do your grandparents live far away? Do your kids ever wish they had a grandparent in town? Do your grandchildren live far away or are they grown-up? Perhaps you would like to be a grandparent? Perhaps you would like a grandparent? We believe there is an opportunity at Sharon Lutheran to share our experiences and life with others that may be looking for that same type of experience. If you would like to adopt a grandma or grandpa or both, or if you would like to adopt a grandchild, or if you are looking for a grandparent experience for your child, please send an e-mail to the or . If you would like more information, please contact Cindy Siders, Ginger Johnson or Pastor Deanna. This sharing experience will be sponsored by the Health Ministry Team.
