| Golden Age Club Prayer Shawl Book Club Donuts & Fellowship |
Friday, December 14th will be the day on which the Golden Age Club will gather to celebrate the joy of Christmas. A potluck Christmas dinner begins the festivities at 12:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Turkey, potatoes, dressing and gravy will be provided, so bring a side dish to share. We will view a classic Christmas video, “Truce in the Forest”, which re-enacts a moment of Christmas peace in the midst of the Battle of the Bulge of World War II. If you would like, gifts may be brought for the residents of the Northlands Rescue Mission. Some suggested items include: key chains, gloves, billfolds, alarm clocks, candy, or gift certificates. Most of the residents are men, so keep this in mind when purchasing your gift. If you bring a gift, label it for a man or woman. Bring a friend or two and celebrate God’s gift of Christmas. Knitting and crocheting are wonderful cold weather activities. Join others in making a prayer-filled creation. This group meets monthly on the second Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. If evenings don’t work for you, join us on the next morning at 10:00. We enjoy a time of prayer, conversation, laughter and learning. There are folks who knit and others who crochet. Some are quite accomplished, while others are just learning. Some knit shawls, while others work on baby caps. There is always someone who can help answer questions. We do not work to any deadlines and we celebrate all our efforts. You are invited to join this group at any time. If you have questions, speak with Pastor Deanna or Bernell Bachmeier. Sharon Lutheran Book Group. 1st Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. Join us once or many times. We enjoy conversation and fellowship, sometimes challenging ourselves and almost always having fun! For more info contact Pastor Deanna.
