Sharon Lutheran Church, by God’s grace... Created to worship; Called to teach; Committed to serve. Having been blessed by God, may we grow in faith and become people of generosity, giving to support the work of God through Sharon Lutheran, as we worship, teach and serve. Adopt-a-Trail/Greenway Clean-up Sharon Lutheran Church has adopted a section of the Greenway. What does that mean? It means we have an opportunity to be actively involved in conserving and maintaining a small segment of the trail in the lower section of Lincoln Drive Park. The most immediate action right now is a litter clean up evening, Tuesday, May 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. We will meet at the Lincoln Drive Park parking lot and organize from there. Our section runs the length of the trail from just east of the boat access for about a mile, ending at the dog park. If you're interested in helping with this project, please come and join us. We encourage you to wear gloves, long pants and sturdy shoes. We will provide the trash bags. All ages are welcome. Children need to be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. If you have questions, please contact Bruce or Cheryl Nyhlen. (Thursday, May 22, will be our "rain date".) Because the numbers of New Americans in the Grand Forks area is growing by leaps and bounds, the Board of Church in Society has decided to ask for some needed items, including children's books, supplies for three different kinds of totes for the New Americans when they arrive, and specific new and used furniture items. If you are interested in participating in this project, stop by the display in the narthex. Thank you.
