Parish Nurse and Health Ministry Team

Promoting spiritual, emotional, and physical health

Parish Nurse and Health Ministry Team

Sharon Lutheran Church seeks to meet the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of our members through the Parish Nurse and Health Ministry Team Program.

Parish Nursing is a melding of nursing and Christian ministry. A Parish Nurse is a registered nurse who has completed a preparation course through the Parish Nurse Center at Concordia College and is committed to the healing mission of the church.

Parish Nursing is not a substitute for pastoral care, medical care, community health nursing, or social services, but rather works in partnership with these disciplines. Parish Nurses do not provide physical care, administer medications, draw blood, or do other invasive procedures.

Health Ministry Members are members of Sharon Lutheran that have an interest in the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our members.

You may reach a Parish Nurse by calling the church office at 772-3122 during business hours and leaving a message.
