Board of Church Properties
Assures the proper maintenance and repair of church property, provides representation of the congregation in all legal matters, and ensures general protection of the congregation against loss or damage of whatever nature

The Board of Church Properties is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of Sharon Lutherans building and grounds.  This may include projects to improve the appearance of our church such as landscaping or repainting the lines in the parking lots. The Board ofProperties frequently schedules a working meeting in place of a sit down meeting.  This occurs when decorating and un-decorating the church for the Advent Season, assisting with the set up and take down of the annual rummage sale, taking care of building repairs, and providing parking lot attendants for Christmas Eve and Easter Sunday worship services.  These projects are generally scheduled in the evening or on a weekend and completed by members of our board as well as volunteers from the congregation. The Board of Properties relies on the annual Sharon rummage sale as its only direct source of income.

Sharon Lutheran has several congregation members who have taken on the role of servant.  This includes maintaining flowerbeds, painting water damaged ceiling tiles, providing lawn care service and snow removal.  The donation of their gifts is a blessing to all of us at Sharon. Their gifts of time, talent and energy are one of the ways we have been able to cut costs in an attempt to meet our budgeted expenses.
