CARE MINISTRIES
Caring for others is a part of our mission of being “committed to serve” and a part of what makes us Sharon Lutheran! Here are a few of our ongoing ministries that show we care about each other’s well-being! To join any of these ministry teams, fill out the MyMinistry form with the appropriate areas selected to get the process started.
We have a place for you!

HOME VISITS
Volunteers visit individuals who can’t leave their homes due to medical or cognitive concerns. Individuals spend time in fellowship, talking to one another and enjoying company.

PRAYER CHAIN
Individuals who are a part of this ministry agree to pray for prayer requests received via email from the office.

QUILTERS
This quilting group meets monthly to make quilts that are distributed locally and worldwide through partnership with Lutheran World Relief.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Prayers shawls are knitted by this team and then distributed to anyone who may be struggling with something. The shawls are prayed over while they are being made so that the recipient can feel the warmth of the shawl and the care of those who created them. All skill levels welcome!

HAND UP PROGRAM
Sponsored by Sharon Cares, this group collects cash or giftcards to be distributed to folks who need a little extra help with the expenses of daily life.

BAGS OF BLESSINGS
This ministry collects “wish list items” for homeless individuals in our community and distributes them to the Northlands Rescue Mission. Donations can be left on the bookshelf outside the Celebration Hall.

TEDDY BEAR MINISTRY
Coordinated by the Community Connections Team, this ministry collects donations of new or very gently used Teddy Bears, which are then placed in the pews of our worship spaces. Members are invited to take the bears into the community to give them to family, friends or strangers who may need a reminder of God's love. Donations can be dropped off at the Welcome Center.
