CHURCH SCHOOL SESSIONS:
(September 17th through May)

Faithful Families Church School (multiage) on Sundays from 9:00 AM-9:45 AM
Classroom Church School on Sundays from 10:30 AM-11:30 AM

Faithful Families Church School (multiage) on Wednesdays from 5:15 PM-5:45 PM
Classroom Church School on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
 

Communion:  Communion is offered at all services throughout the year.  Everyone, regardless of age or church membership, is invited and welcome to receive communion.  Grape juice is served instead of wine at Sharon.

Nursery:  The Sharon Lutheran Nursery is open for families to use. The nursery is not staffed. Parents and guardians must supervise their children at all times while using the nursery. Please pick up after yourselves and clean up any messes for which you are responsible. A breastfeeding room can be accessed through the nursery. Please use the changing tables in the public restrooms for diaper changes. Thank you!

Choirs:  The choirs rehearse and sing at worship services during the school year. 

• Santuary Choir rehearses at 7:00 PM on Wednesdays in the choir room.

• Youth Music Ministries TBA

• Church School students are involved in music in Church School and sing occasionally for worship.

Adult Learning:  Bible Studies as well as topical studies are offered throughout the year at various times.  Circle Bible Studies for women meet monthly in homes or at church.  "L.I.F.T., Learning in Faith Together," is a Sunday morning adult education opportunity that takes place in the Rose of Sharon Lounge during the program year.

New Member Class:  A New Member class, with introductory information about the Lutheran Church, is offered 2 or 3 times each year for those interested in joining Sharon.  Contact the church office for upcoming dates if you are interested in joining Sharon!

Baptisms:  Baptism is an important sacrament in the Lutheran Church.  Through the water and the word at baptism, God is present giving new life through the Holy Spirit as the newly baptized becomes a part of the Church.  We baptize people of any age, from infants through adults.

​

At Sharon Lutheran we ask parents of children to be baptized to attend a "Welcome to Baptism" class before their first child is baptized.  Baptismal sponsors, if available, are welcome to attend as well.  

​

Baptisms are held during worship services and can be scheduled for any Sunday or Wednesday worship, either in the Sanctuary or Celebration Hall.  To schedule a baptism or find out the next date/time for the "Welcome to Baptism" class, please call the church office at 772-3122 or email at office@sharonlutheran.org.

Marriage Classes & Weddings:  Anyone is welcome to be married at Sharon.  We require attendance at a Pre-Marriage Retreat before the wedding as well as conversations with a pastor as part of your preparation for marriage and your wedding service.  To schedule a wedding, call the church office at 772-3122 to see if the date is available and to request a packet of information that will contain what you need to schedule and prepare for your wedding.
