Wednesday church school kids will be packing  BLIZZARD MEALS in January.  Can you help us collect food items for our bags?

We need:

Cans of chicken or tuna

14-15oz cans of fruit

14-15oz cans of vegetables or vegetable soup

Packs of saltines or cheese/peanut butter crackers

Hot cocoa packets

Desserts—granola bars, pudding cups, packaged cookies

Products should not have an expiration date shorter than 6 months.  Items can be dropped off in the container near the Education Office throughout December.  Thank you in advance for your contribution!

Blizzard meals are intended to be shelf stable meals that Seniors can eat when there is an emergency such as weather or illness that would prevent them from going to a meal site or having meals delivered.  They are sponsored by LSS Meals and Meals on Wheels, a joint partnership of the community and Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota.

FINANCIAL PEACE ANNOUNCEMENT

When we heard that nearly 7 out of 10 Americans live paycheck to paycheck, we just knew we had to do something.

That’s why we’re going to be offering Ramsey Solution’s Financial Peace University class here at the church starting January 7th.

It’s some of the most practical stuff out there and the most fun you’ll ever have learning about money. Each weekly session starts with Dave Ramsey teaching on video and is followed by a powerful small group discussion.

You’ll see that you are DEFINITELY not alone if you’re struggling in this area. And even if you’re one of the few who isn’t struggling, you’ll still benefit from this powerful material.

It teaches you how to apply biblical principles to the way you handle money and how to start truly managing all of the resources God has given you. This class breaks the process down into easy steps that will help no matter where you are. You’ve just got to take it!

We’re having a free class preview at 12:30 on January 7th at the church South Hall inside Door 2 and you don’t want to miss it.

If you want to get signed up now, just use the link or QR code below to buy your materials ($80 per family unit). We can’t wait to see you all there!

ADVENT TREE

This year, we invite the congregation to make a difference in people's lives around the world by donating to God's Global Barnyard.

(1) Simply choose an ornament off the tree representing the gift you would like to give.

(2) Include your check payable to ELCA in the provided envelope and indicate which gift you are sponsoring.

(3) Turn into the church office and keep the ornament as a reminder of your generosity. Your donation supports long-term, sustainable solutions that keep on giving for years to come.
